Life in Boulder
Boulder is a pretty laid back town. It actually really reminds me of San Francisco in terms of the general densities of the hippie population as well as the homeless population. According to the Hawaiian contingent from the sound department a lot of people from Hawaii, if they move to the mainland will also settle in Boulder. Which I guess is why so many of the restaurants have menu items like seared ahi (or burned tuna for those of you unfamiliar with this terminology). The Shakespeare Festival here is kind of weird, in the indoor space on we have 150-300 people in the house every night and run 4 shows a week. But when you walk around town no one knows what CSF even is. Now that could be that my sample group is stoned college age fast food employees who tend to put tomatoes on my breakfast sammich and like to stiff me on the bacon. (I think because they are pursuing a secret vegan agenda.) But that's another matter. Where are these people coming from? And why are they spending their Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday night or possibly Sunday afternoon watching All's Well that Ends Well? Obviously it is an attack of pod people. But I am not worried as I have a wide variety of large heavy objects on a pulley system that I can drop on them when they eventually rush the stage and try to body switch me.
